Hey, I'm Vanessa!
I began my journey in the travel industry in 2011, building my experience in cruise sales before launching my own travel agency with a $450 loan from my mother. Like many travel advisors, I started under a host agency, where I quickly learned how commission splits could limit what I earned from the business I was building.
In my first year running my own agency, I generated nearly $700,000 in travel sales. But it was a luxury cruise booking worth more than $100,000 that opened my eyes to how much commission I was giving away. That experience changed the way I approached my business and inspired me to build Global Luxury Travel on my own terms.
